How the mighty fall in love...

----Story-----
Ok, so this is a new couple of mine... The Vulpix is female, and the Growlithe male. Vulpix's mother was killed in an attack by unknown trainers, and she was left with nasty wounds around her neck. Fortunately she was found by a fresh Team Rocket recruit who was in desperate need of their first pokemon. The two grew close, under the impression they were doing right as Team Rocket members. He gives Vulpix the scarf to hid her scars as she sees them as a show of vunriablilty (which she hates). Vulpix longs for revenge against those who killed her family, and is a little brash and rough around the edges.

Later, in a battle against a trainer, Vulpix faces Growlithe, who falls head over tail for this slightly rough little lady. Having lost the battle, his trainer realises him, casting him off as worthless. He then decided to follow and eventually join Vulpix's trainer, joining Team Rocket under the impression that non-organization trainers don't respect their pokemon partners. Other than that his is quiet layer back and is often required to calm Vulpix down (she can be a bit of a hot head).

Basically a sketch that ended up with a really lame background story while I was working. Thought it would be good digital colouring practice, would love to hear what you think. I also really like the couple, so I think I shall be drawing them again (the Growlithe is cute!) x
